How to Build Inbound Links

Web sites are having great success increasing their positions within Search Engines by using inbound links. A lot of people are wondering how they should go about building quality inbound links, especially 1 way links wherein you do not have to link back. These 1 way links are important because they are seen more as an endorsement of your site than as a commercial transaction wherein you are trading links with other web sites. So, how do you go about getting quality, 1 way links to your site?

It is a really simple process to get these 1 way links, but it is going to take you time. This is because going from having no links 1 day to having 2,000 links the next day does not look natural to the Search Engines. In fact, it may even look like spam. So, you are going to want to SLOWLY use these techniques that follow. You will want to do all 4 techniques so that you can build a huge amount of links from different sources though.  It is interesting to note that some of these sources will take on a life of their own and thus you will automatically begin to get links. Here is what you will want to do:

1.        Take some time to write and submit articles to the numerous article directories that are online today. These sites allow visitors to the site to copy your article for use on their web sites. Since there will be a resource box at the bottom of each article that you will write, with your link to your site, this will start to take on its own life. Usually you are allowed to have 2 links in your resource box, so you should point 1 to your home page and 1 to a specific product page.

2.       You can get 1 way links from Newswires, such as PRWeb, by simply submitting a press release for your site to them. It is also possible that you could get picked up by Google News. All of this will produce traffic for your web site.

3.       Spend some time submitting your web site to web directories. While there are some that will charge a fee, there are also some that are free.  One directory that it is worth paying to get listed in is the Yahoo! Directory. Then spend time searching for other free directories by using Google, which will produce hundreds of relevant directories.

4.       It is also possible to spend some money purchasing 1 way links to your web site. While this may sound like the easiest way to do it, you should not rely on this alone. These links will vary in price and you will usually have to pay for them on a monthly basis. Whatever you do, make sure that you only buy links from web sites that are relevant to yours. To do this, simply search for “link brokers” on Google.

These techniques can be easily implemented into your marketing plan. If you do not have time to do it, then this work can always be outsourced.
